Connection Refused - Postfix
I have recently updated from Linux Mandrake 9.0 to Linux Mandrake 9.2 for my school server.
I've updated all config. files and everything works ok except for my mail server - Postfix. When I try to send a message I get the following error:- Jan 4 17:11:26 linux postfix/smtp[9863]: connect to linux.ailbes.sch[10.0.0.1]: Connection refused (port 25) I thought it might be DNS so I updated my DNS server and that seems to be working fine. One other error message that I have found is in the /var/log/httpd/ssl_error_log. It reads:- [Sun Jan 04 15:44:49 2004] [warn] RSA server certificate CommonName (CN) `localhost.rcHZ54' does NOT match server name!? Whether this is related or not, I do not know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
Problem solved - eventually.
The inet_interfaces option in Postfix defaults to "all" which has worked for me up to now. I changed it to the third option, "$myhostname, localhost" and everthing is working fine! |
