Connecting Windows with a crossover cable
I have a Linux and a Windows ME pc, and have bought 2 network cards and a cross over cable. They both have dial up internet connections that I want to retain.
Can anyone give me some advice on connecting them, or where there might be relevant tutorials (not had much luck so far as I have already managed to mess up my windows dial up yesterday which took me ages to fix).
Thanks

Thanks for your help, unfortunately that was the tutorial that I failed to follow yesterday.
I think my problem was that when I changed the TCP/IP setting to give the PC an IP address, it seemed to remember this when I tried to use dial up (when my ISP provides one). As a consequence I could connect but do nothing else.
In prinicple is it ok to have a static IP address for LAN and a dynamic one for dial up?
