Connecting two computers via LAN ?

This question may have been answered already. If so, I cant find it or know what to search for.

I want to hook two computers together in my home to play WarZone 2100.
One is wireless and the other is wired directly to the router. both use the same router. Both are using Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS

I don't even know where to start.

I would assume the game needs the IP address of each box. Choose the option (if available) for local or LAN connection then enter the required fields. Repeat the process on each pc.

Will print the IP address.

In Ubuntu I think it's

sudo ifconfig
Hope this helps.

You will likely need to open port 2100 in the firewall on both machines.

Host the game on the first machine, then join on the second one.
