Connecting to the internet through USB?
I'm not the smartest when it comes to this field, so my apologies if I do not give enough information, but:
I have Red Hat 9 installed on an old Dell L600cx--So old, in fact, that it does not even have an ethernet port. Thus I decided to connect it to my cable modem via USB. I knew it would be slower, but for now it would have to suffice.
Well, I'm not sure how to set it up to read the USB connection instead of an Ethernet connection. Is it even possible, or will I have to buy an ethernet port for my computer? Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I'm assuming I'd need to install drivers to read the cable modem connection, but the install CD won't do any good since it's Windows only. And if they don't support linux drivers on the site, will I have to just go ahead and get that ethernet port?
