Connecting to samba NAS server

Hi Guys,

I recently bought a NAS HDD enclosure which I thought would be a nice way of having central storage for all my systems. It uses samba to share the files and works ok (but a little buggy) in windows. In Linux if I try to mount the share using cifs I get a "not a directory" error back. I can however access it through smbclient and see all of the files ok. Can anyone shed any light on this at all.
I'm using Fedora core 6. I realise I haven't exactly given a lot of information here so if you need to know anything else just ask.

Thanks
Fraser

try using a different local mount point

you may have an issue with your local mount point.

also, try using a different linux client to eliminate user error.
