Connecting to I-net through Linksys router in Linux

I have two computers with Windows on one of them and Linux RH 7.0 on the other. I connected them to this Linksys router BEFSR41 and connection to I-net is working fine on Win machine ( I have PPPoE), but it doesnn't work on Linux. First, the router doesn't recognize Linux machine IP address (192.168.1.101) in its client table, though I gave IP address to Linux machine and besides, I pinged the WIN machine IP address (192.168.1.100) from Linux machine and it could find it, so the link is up and connection between computers exists. I can access router's setup page from Linux machine, I pinged router's IP address-it worked. The only thing that doesn't work is I-net on Linux machine. I tried to ping router's WAN port from Linux machine-it didn't find it...

Thank you in advance,

Lev.

I finally got my router to work after having similar problems. What are your network settings for gateways and name servers? Here's the way I have mine set up. My name servers are my ISP's name servers. So that part is set up just like the router isn't even there. My IP address is 192.168.1.110 with a Netmask of 255.255.255.0 and the default gateway is 192.168.1.1. Hopefully this will be of some help to you. That's the way mine works on the exact same setup you have.
