I have a win2k workstation that connects to the internet via a proxy on an NT Server. My workstation dual boots with Mandrake 8.0. The problem is that from within Mandrake, I cannot seem to access the Internet via the NT Server's Proxy.
When I have Linux up and I ping it from the server, I get a response and vice versa works fine too. My Netscape settings are correct as well. When I turned on basic authentication under Directory Security on the NT Server, Netscape (on my Mandrake box), asked me to authenticate which I then did but the authorization then fails (this was a suggestion from someone that I tried).
My setup is:
-A win2k workstation (on a LAN)that dual boots with Mandrake 8.0
-My network interface is: eth0
-The IP of the NT Server is 10.0.0.2 and my w/station IP is 10.0.0.13.
-The NT Server dials up via a modem to my ISP
Could someone please provide some detailed advice as to how I can resolve the situation?
Many thanks in advance
