Connect two motherboards for the agp port
 

Hy there
I have kinda like a crazy idea.
I would like to connect my pc to the TV but the vga cable is not compatible with my analog Tv.
The pc that i'm using is equipped with everything, except it hasn't got an agp port for my TV-OUT video card.
I have a second motherboard with cpu(+power source) on it, but it's too slow so i don't want to use it.
So! My idea is to connect the pc to the second motherboard, and use the second motherboard just for the agp and the TV-out video card.
(i really don't have no money for signal converters and new video cards at all)
I know it's complicated but i think it's not impossible!

Short answer: it is not an option for your needs.

It is very very difficult - basically, you want to use the agp card on mobo2 with the bus and cpu advantages of mobo1. Unfortunately, the bus HW on mobo2 is controlled by the chipsets on mobo2 including the slow clock and cpu and so on.

The obvious approach - network the two boards - is not viable since this just involves running the agp card on mobo2 at mobo2 speed and sending the result at ethernet speeds to mobo1.

That leaves somehow connecting the agp slot and supporting HW to mobo1 - which would involve a lot of delicate cutting and soldering ... probably a custom circuit board too. Probably more expensive than a second-hand pcie card unless you happen to have a high-tech electronics lab handy.

BUT: maybe someone has already done it for you ... what about a pcie to agp converter?

it's a funny situation: i've been watching movies on my slow pc+15"display. but then i got a 22" display for my third pc(which is not home with me). so the 15" is not good anymore, this is why i wanted to use the TV instead. but i will save up some money in the farest future and upgrade my second pc.
