Connect to Windows VPN server

I am wondering if there is a way to connect to my network at work through the Windoze VPN server?

Seems easy enough to set everything else up to work fine but for some reason I cannot find a connector for the VPN interface...

Thanks

vpn??? are you talking about a tunnel?
you need to find out if it is pptp or l2tp or some other protocol.
also the tunnel may be encrypted with mppe or ipsec.
what type of domain? NT, 2000, 2003?

there are services to connect a linux box to a M$ domain, through vpn,
encrypted, using microsoft authentication methods (mschap, kerberos)
but you must have more specifics on the network you're connecting to.
google it...

Man I love this stuff!! I haven't been using Linux for about 2.5 years and I really miss the fun of building my own.

Specs are: Windows 2000 pptp with kerberos encryption (I can adjust the server side to use whatever I want as long as it's encrypted)

VPN... Sorry, I feel like a again

I just found the pppd/pptp services but I have no experience using these. Is it possible to write a config file that it pulls from? then just run it off the config.

I'll spend the day reading the man for pppd and see what I can get but I haven't found anything for the pptp.

Thanks a lot for the assist

Smile pptp microsoft client

If you want to connect to your windows server you need to use mppe encryption.
You can do this by following the instructions found here:

http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net
