OK this is my problem:
I have a domain name, lets call it my_domain.com.
Untill couple of hours ago, I thought I had my own mail server running (I have name server at zoneedit.com, MX record set up etc.) I know for a fact that my sendmail was up and running, althought I didn't play with its config at all.
I was sending mail from pine and Kmail, and it was arriving to the destination as
user@my_domain.com.
I was receiving mail too, no trouble.
However, when I sent an email from MUTT (uncofigured, "out the box") it arrived as
user@my_domain.hsd1.ca.comcast.net (Comcast is my ISP)
Obviously, it was sent from my ISP's mail server. So, have I been sending through their mail server all along? Or is pine using my own mail server and mutt is using the ISP's? Why would mutt go out to look for mail server somewhere else? What's going on? Is that too many questions?
