Configuring SMTP server in Linux Fedora 20
Hello,
I am trying to configure a network that connects 4 virtual machines. two SMTP servers: one which runs postfix and the other one runs sendmail. One client who should use the postfix SMTP server (client1) and another client who should access the sendmail SMTP server(client2). All of them reside on 192.168.220.0/24. I made all IPs static. I have added users on the Postfix SMTP server itself and I want those users to access their email account using the Evolution from client1. And the same scenario for sendmail SMTP server but users use client2 to access their email accounts using Evolution. I was wondering how can this be achieved? Do I need DNS? if yes, where to install the bind-utils package? On a different virtual machine? I do really need a help.

First, bumping your own thread (especially after just TWO MINUTES), is not only rude, but pointless. This is a volunteer forum...we don't wait around for you to post, and all you really managed to do is remove your thread from the zero-reply list, making it LESS likely to be viewed or answered AT ALL.
Second, this sounds VERY much like a homework question, and we are not going to type up a detailed, step-by-step guide for you; there are THOUSANDS of how-to guides on how to set up the various SMTP servers. If you already have sendmail and postfix set up and working, then you can either put the host names into the /etc/hosts files on the respective clients, and you won't need DNS. Otherwise, feel free to configure a DNS server wherever you'd like...it can be on either SMTP server, or a separate VM, as long as the clients can access it.
