Unhappy Configuring sis900 nic card

I have an ASUS P4S8X motherboard, with onboard Lan (sis900) and audio. I have 2 hard drives connected to it. (30Gig w/windows2000 pro & 40Gig which I want to install slackware 9.0 on) Now my question is : Does slackware have any conflicts with the sis900 nic ? I've tried installing red hat and it wouldn't find the nic for nothing. when I install Slackware I'm not using the bootloader, I'll use the bios to switch between the 2 OS's.

Thanks,

Robert T
