Question

I have installed Red \hat 7.0 and trying to network my linux box with my windows box. I was testing my samba installation by using testparm smb.conf and I get the following warning

lock directory /var/lock/samba should have permissions 0755 for browsing to work.

can anyone help me on this, thanks you.

Do this logged in as root or su into root:

# chmod 755 /var/lock/samba

Then give it a try and see if it works.
