configuring mail server on linux

Hi friends,

i am having windows network and few linux boxes , I want to configure an internal mailling system for internal communication .
Linux is a better option for me , How can I configure this on my linux box, i want to know various options for configuring linux as a mailserver for internal use like POP3 , fetchmail etc. I know sendmail is one option but i feel it is hard to configure when using linux in windowsnt domain.
I need u r help in this aspect. I will also be happy if somebody can suggest any site where i can get useful information in this regard.

hi ,

Use postfix instead of sendmail. its fast , secure and easy to configure. Lots of tutorial avilable for configuring it ... just search on with the keywords"postfix" + "tutorial".
