Configuring domain names on static IP addresses from SBC DSL
I have a redhat linux 6.0.

Well you are going to need to update your DNS records. But if your old DSL company was the one that was doing your DNS you might need to sign up with somebody else. Who is listed as your DNS provider? If you use the dig tool it will tell you. As an example I'll show you what it shows for my domain:
Code:
; <<>> DiG 9.2.3 <<>> jtshaw.com |
I ran the dig command.

It doesn't have to be the same as your DSL provider, and if it is a good DNS service, it probably does cost money. I think I pay $6 a year for trustdns.net which has been very reliable. I am sure there are some free services as well, you can do a good search.

This is very useful information.
