Configuring Cups to Print directly to email.

Does anyone know how to configure cups, so that when a user sends a print to a printer it will send the print to their email client?

-Thanks

This LQ article has all the info needed to setup CUPS so that it will generate PDF files of your prints.
Downside: it will not email them but place them into a directory somewhere on the CUPS server.

You can learn how to add email support by looking at this article (which also teaches you how to setup Samba so that Windows clients can use your PDF printer too): http://www.digital-nerv.net/rvincent/?p=5 or better (if you can read german) read the article that was the inspiration for that: http://www.linux-als-server.de/html/...pdfprinter.php
