can some tell me how to configure my network options in slacware 13 to connect to internet??

i have already donte this script

// #!/bin/bas

// ifconfig eth0 inet xx.xx.x.xxx netmask 255.255.255.0 up
// route add -net default gw xx.xx.x.xxx eth0

i made chmod +x in this script to be executable
and i execute this script with this command "sh (script name).sh"

there is no error in this script
i think the problem is the xml file
because when i go to network settings
it say to me "could not parse the XML file()"

but i cant to connet to internet!!!

but also when i ping in the hubs server it answer normally!!!
