Angry Configure Network greyed out in CentOS Installer

I am installing a new virtual machine. I insert the iso: "CentOS-6.8-x86_64-LiveCD" and boot, but while proceeding I notice the "Configure Network" button is greyed. When I proceed with the installation and later configure the network manually, it doesnt behave well. Is it possible to have the configuration done during installation? if so, please help me

It sounds like the virtual NIC is not present or not supported by install. What NIC are you emulating?

You mention install and live. Some live can easily be used for both live and install but this may have some bug in it. If I were to need to install to a vm then I'd get the DVD or network install iso and try it.
