comcast -unable to connect

Ok, I am totatally frustrated on this..I have a Fedora Core PC that connects directly to the Internet. I also have a Windows box that sits behind it w/a 192.168 IP. I just moved to another state and now I am running Comcast Hi Speed. Initially on setup, I was unable to connect to the Internet at all even though the modem was telling me it had a valid connection. I was at one point able to get an IP but nothing would come up on my browser but I was able to ping out. Then I decided to connect the Win box to the modem as was able to register w/Comcast w/o any problems. Figuring once I registered, the FC box would work, well it still wont connect. I even changed the settings on my FC to manual IP but still unable to connect to Internet...tried forcing it w/dhclient eth0 but nothing....I have never had Comcast before so I dont know if they frown upon mulitiple connections.....I run Firestarter as my FC Firewall....
I am not sure what info you guys need to help me but ask and I shall reply!
thanks
dareino
