Question Clustering Quastion

Hi guys Iam new to linux, I mean I've tryed almost all of the disros that are out there but I dont know match about configureing it.

Well now that I've desided what I want to do in life ( Unix System Admin ) I need help.

I am thinking of geting 2-4 486 boxes and cluster them.

What hardware do I need for that? As in say I have 4 mashines will they have to be connected to a 5 port hub with one uplink ? so say that one uplink goes in to a faster computer with 2 ethernet cards ? one card to road runner cable, other card into hub with 4 mashines ? am I thinking right ?

Now the difficuilt part, SOFTWARE!!!!

I am thinking of using slackware or maybe FreeBSD.

Are there any good sites that have big manual on clustering ?

I just want to experemnt, like set up apache on 2 computers and distribute the load evenly and like dhcp on other and proxy and dsn server and stuff like that.

Please help me.
