Unhappy Clam and Antivirus on postfix

People, l need help on this. How does the ISP use the above tools, l mean configure them to use POP. well l am of the idea:
set up postfix with the networks... mail_command=/usr/bin/procmail

install and configure spamassassin.

set up the .procmailrc file to have something like
Remove DEFAULT #maybe this will not deliver the mail, but leave it in the original location, ie ISP mail server ,pending he users to dial up and download thier mail.

|spamd #ie pipe all mails throgh the spamassassin daemon.

.. Grab clam source and install, uncomment the line to do with mail. Now wll this scan all the mails that come? And will this idea work?

Your post is rather confusing. But I think you are on the right track. A filter like spamassassin can be called in many ways. But the most common methods are using the postfix After Queue Filter mechanism or though a Procmail Recipe.

BTW: Spamassassin consists of two major components; spamd (daemonized version of spamassassin) and spamc (client for spamd). It's spamc receives the piped email in your procmail recipe or postfix filter, not spamd as you showed in your post.
