Question Cisco VPN Client Problem

I have a problem with the Linux VPN Client. I have set it up to connect to my corporate network, this it does and I can browse the Corporate Intranet however I cannot access my E-mail server. On running an Ethereal trace I notice that the mail packets have a source address of the eth0 interface and not the tunnel interface. My conclusion is the mail server is rejecting packets with unknown source addresses which my eth0 would be.

Anyone come across this problem before ?

regards,

ob

is the mail server you are trying to access one that is on the corporate network or one that is on the Internet in general ?

Depending on how your VPN concentrator has been setup by your net admin, it may disallow any other connections to the Internet whilst you are connected over the VPN.
