Check of proxy address validity in Linux

Hi,

i want to check if proxy addresses are valid. I know google and check that elite proxy switcher http://www.sharewareconnection.com/e...y-switcher.htm but that is for windows.

Is there any program that works like the elite proxy switcher where it has the function to check the validity of proxy addresses in linux?

They have a linux version.
Also take a look at the addons for firefox

Hi, where did u see the linux version of elite proxy switcher? i google around and went to their main website, it only have versions for windows.

Actually i just want a program to check if the proxy address is alive or dead. Which programs do you guys recommmend?
