Check connectivity from linux server to windwos servers

Hi all,

I have a plan to make an monitoring system where I am going from one central location to check is connectivity to particular machines/port possible.

Central server is going to be debian, and servers which should be checked are windows.

Actually I just want to check is connection from linux server
( aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd ) possible to windows server (ggg.bbb.sss.ddd ) on port X.

I have plan to make an script to do this job, but I wondering are there out some examles/experiences how is this done.

Thank you in advance, once I made this, will make an update and paste out working solution.

Kind regards,
