changing suse 9.1 internet configuration

hi!
Well, I have a problem with my internet connection. I'm using Suse 9.1 pro and I have 2 ethernet cards (eth0 and eth1). When I installed suse in my computer I only had 1 ethernet (eth0) and integrated VIA, and through it I connected my computer into the net. Later I decided to buy another card so I'd be able to connect to other computer I had, but when I installed it (DLink), this took eth0 and the old one became eth1. So now I'd like to connect to internet through eth1, but I don't have any idea how to make it. help!

As root, open yast2 > network devices > network card. There you will see both cards. You can either change the current setup to revert back eth1 to eth0, or keep things the way they are. My advice is: make eth0 the internet card, and eth1 the intranet card (linked to the other computer). Every tutorial or script you can download in the internet use eth's like this.
Then, you can set static ip to the intranet card (some like 192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0), and dhcp (if its the case) to the eth0 card. SuSE shall handle this with no trouble.
