Changing from static IP to DHCP in Slackware
I've had my computer on a static IP at my university for quite some time now, and I just recently bought a router to share the connection. Everything is configured and works just fine except for my Slack box. All I need to do is change the static IP to DHCP. I tried to change the IP settings to 'DHCP' using the default "netconfig" program, but it does not seem to do anything. When I restart ethernet card, it still configures to the original static address. I would try manually configuring the files if I knew which ones to edit.
Any suggestions?
