changing data or files into .iso!!


I am trying to changing my file into iso

Please tell me if i am using the correct command

I have a data directory in which i have made some files

so the command will be

cat data/* > *.iso

is this okk???

i am sorry i dnt knw how to move this thread to general category,, i made a mistake

From the console or xterm session read: man mkisofs

thanks so much for this quick reply but unfortunately it didnt help me ,, my console is saying there is no manual entry for this ,, i am at minimal installation,,and the website is showing me advance jobs to do with cdroms but i just want to change my data into iso to make it burnable like for example we have boot.iso for making a bootable cd,,,

I am using RHEL 4,,

if anyone can just look at my command and let me knw if this is the way to do this job thanks soo much everyone
