You can use the netstat command to verify that your centos server is actually listening on the new port. That way you can make sure your change to the port is in effect. If you are using iptables, you may need to update your firewall rules to allow connections to the new port.

This was working fine before you changed the port number, correct? And you just verified that it is listening on your new port. What does the iptables rule look like for this?

iptables -L

Okay. Hopefully someone else will see this thread and have some better information. I've tried to re-create your scenario in centos. The connection works great from Windows 7 using the built-in vpn client on the default port of 1723, but I haven't had any luck changing the port either. I guess now I'm wondering if anyone else has pulled this off successfully?

With any luck someone who can point you in the right direction will chime into the conversation. Good luck!

Yeah, that's changed. I may play with it some more today after work.
