Change Authentication Required

Hello,

If I use my Ubuntu (6.06 Gnome) machine, to get on my samba server, I see first the shares and by clicking one of them I get an authentication window.

This window has a predefined USERNAME and a predefined DOMAIN name.

The username is normally the local Ubuntu USERNAME.
Since that is not the Username that is required to login, I have to change it each time i'm logging in on the server.

Is it possible to change this predefined condition?

For instance I get a login with USERNAME ALPHA || DOMAIN HOME .
I want to have a login with USERNAME GAMMA.

Can I change this in one of the configuration files ?

Thank you in advance.
