Cant ping internally
Hey all readers
I have a very strange problem here. I have just set up a network with VLANs using a layer 3 switch. The problem is that I am unable to ping any internal websites that I have on my web servers within my network. The strange thing is that I am able to get to the websites and ping them from outside the network. Does anybody have a clue on how to resolve this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Wazza |
Can you ping any other machines on the same VLAN as yourself and then through onto a different VLAN? You sure you switches permit internal traffic moving round betweens VLAN's? What about one of your webservers pinging back to your machine?

Yes I can ping other machines on the same VLAN and on other VLANs. SWITCH = Cisco Layer 3 switch which supports inter VLAN routing The webserver pings back. Thanks 4 the help, what next? |
