Can't Get it to ping my other boxes
Well, my slackware linux fileshareing server has finally aquired an IP address through DHCP, and it's gateway and DNS Ips have been inserted... it can ping the router, google and what not... but still NOT MY OTHER COMPUTERS!! Can anyone give me a hand in this? I don't understand why it can't interact with my other comps when I had it as a server for weeks before I installed the router and cable modem... HELP!

My XP Professional computer can ping the linux, my other computers can ping it, but it can't ping the windows boxes for some damn reason. Does anyone have any insight?

It may be a routing issue.

Can you describe the layout of your network?
And can you post the output of the following command

route -n
