Cannot receive any packets through ppp0 !!


**This is a big post but i decribe everything in detail

I use a usb ISDN only modem to connect with KPPP and i get connected.My problems start after i make the connection

This modem and the same ISP account work under windows
I connect as a "user" and i have chowned ttyACM0 to "user":group.

So after I connect we have:

cat /etc/resolv.conf and cat /etc/ppp/resolve.conf have the correct nameservers supplied by my ISP.

(I wrote my.gate.way.IP instead of writing the actual gateway IP ..same for ifconfig)

I typed as root "ifconfig eth0 down" but nothing changed.
No cable is attached to eth0.

I have no firewall rules and I i confirm that by giving "iptables -L" as root

I cannot receive any ping respones although I can send packets and I confirm that with the use of tcpdump (as root) ...meaning that I can send but not receive by anyone even my DNS or GATEWAY !! except my own IP address ^^.
And yes my DNS and Gateway reply to ping , I have checked it with windows

Now on mozilla when I give hostnames I get nothing("Resolving host blah blah") !! When I give the IP of "ww*w.mit.e*du" I get it loaded for 1 sec then stops..when i give the IP of "ww*w.google.c*om" the page does not load.
I have disable and enable dns.IPv6 support on mozilla and i get the same results as written above.
(I use asterisk to avoid spamming protection of this board in the first 5posts)

Using FTP I managed to connect to my ISP's server using its IP address and Ii got a welcome message (I can receive)!!! but no anonymoys logins allowed.

I have search this forum and google to find a solution but i find none solution though that many people face this problem.

I use slackware 10.1 and kernel 2.6.11.7 recompiled with ppp support and more

The error parameter doesn't look good. Look into your logs (/var/log/messages) and see if there are any ppp-related messages.
