Cannot read files directly off Windows-network via Samba

I guess this is a quick fix...

does any1 know if it is possible* to stream files (read files) directly off a windows machine?

ie. read a .pdf (open it) over the network without copying over to the linux machine first?

or stream (play the file) right off the windows machine?

if it is possible im guesing im missing some lines in my samba config?

any comments appreciated.

thank you.
