Cannot Ping Linux from Remote computer via VPN

Hi

This is my setup with VPN tunnel up and running between two Netgear routers

Redhat FC1(192.168.0.199) + WIN XP(192.168.0.2) connected to LAN -- (192.168.0.1)VPN router- - - - -WAN- - - - - VPN router(10.0.0.1) - Connected to LAN - WIN XP(10.0.0.2) + WIN 2000 (10.0.0.3)

Now from computer 10.0.0.2 I can ping 192.168.0.2 but from the same computer I cannot ping 192.168.0.199

Also from the FC1 computer I cannot ping any of the remote location computers

Whereas Win XP 192.168.0.2 Can ping Redhat FC1 192.168.0.199 locally.

Do I need to setup anything on linux to respond to requests from remote LAN?

Please Help

Regards
Jaspreet

Run /sbin/route on the FC1 computer. Does the FC1 computer show a default route (or at least a route to 10.0.0.0 via 192.168.0.1)?

Hey I got the solution

As u said there was no route to the other network on FC1

For experimental purpose I also added a linux FC3 in the remote network strange there was an automatic update of the remote network on FC3 and it added a entry for 10.0.0.0

I had to manually add a route to the remote LAN network on FC1 computer.
