I just formatted my hard drive on a Dell D600 and installed Ubuntu 8.04. I am trying to mount the shares on my server, which is a Gateway running Fedora Core 5. I run the command:
Code:
sudo mount acsserver:/music /music
Code:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on acsserver:/music,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
(for several filesystems (e.g. nfs, cifs) you might
need a /sbin/mount.<type> helper program)
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so
I was able to mount the shared just fine before reinstalling. I am having this issue on workstation also. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Todd
