Cannot join a window 2003 domain
I would appreciate any help with the following problem.
I am trying to configure my redhat linux 9 machine as a member of a windows 2003 domain.
From the windows machine, I add the linux machine under active directory users and computers. Also, I did the following modifications in the linux machine under the smb.conf; I add security = domain, encrypt password = yes, password server = *. Finally I try to join the domain by using the following command: smbpasswd -j psarr.com -r windowsrv -U username
But I am getting the following error: Error connecting to windowsrv - NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
Unable to join domain PSARR.COM.
