Cannot finish any downloads eg. Adobe Flash, Javascript

I've been trying to download Adobe Flash and Javascript. After I "Open" the download, there doesn't seem to be anywhere to go finish installing whatever I try to download. Is there a site where there are directions on how to finish a download??
Thank you,
breather

This seems like a learning issue here. Did you recently transition from Windows to Linux? The installation process in Linux requires you to actually initiate the install, usually you will download a package file like a .rpm or .deb and will then use the package manager software to install the software.

What is your level of knowledge with the Linux OS? What Linux OS are you using? Have you used the package manager on your system before?

NOTE: Don't feel offended by this, we are happy to help get you there and give you the resources so you can learn how to use the OS to its full potential we just need to know where you're at to start.

Yes, I am fairly new to Linux. I use the Linux 32 bit with Firefox. I cannot view any videos or download Adobe Flash Player or Javascript.
Please Advise.
Thank you,
