Cannot connect to my Win2K server

Let me say up front this is my first try at connecting my work Linux box to our Win2000 server. I got what seems like a good guide for doing this off the web that says the syntax for making the connections should look like this:

smbmount //ntservername/sharedfolder/ /myntshare U ntusername I ntipaddress

Where:

ntservername = the name of our server (duuuh!)
sharefolder = the shared 'drive' on our nt server
myntshare = the Linux folder I am using to mount the nt resource on
ntusername = you guessed it - my nt logon (username)
ntipaddress = the IP address of our server

When I type this from a root prompt, I'm prompted for a password, which I assume is my NT (i.e, not my Linux) password. I type that in, and after a moment I get back :

2142: session setup failed: ERRDOS - ERRnoaccess (Access denied.)
SMB connection failed

I can't figure out why access is denied. Samba is installed, my NIC is eth0, and I can ping the server just fine. HELP!!

Well, not two minutes after my orig. post, I tried it again, and it worked! Through my mount point I can now see the entire NT network. Pretty cool! Now, how to set it up so that mount is automatic whenever I logon to Linux? Onward and forward....
