please help in my connection problem!

I have red hat 6.0 and I tried to connect to the internet
I configured de kppp settings and it doesn't seeing my modem
HELP ME PLEASE!

Can you get it up using the scripts like "ifup ppp0"?
Is your modem detected in boot, look in /var/log/messages or dmesg for a clue, (also when trying to connect).
Is your modem a winmodem? See http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...?threadid=3415 on how to detect if it is so.
