Cannot change my IP to static in Linux Mint
Hello all!
I have the last version of Mint freshly installed and I was trying to set my IP to static. I have done it numerous times so far, but only on servers and indeed I have an idea what to do. I turned off the network manager, then changed everything in /etc/network/interfaces. After that I entered manually my DNS servers in resolv.conf and restarted the networking service. Everything seems to be in order - I have a network connection, but when checking my IP it remains the same as before changing. Is there anything I had missed? Thanks!
