Cannot access internet from one subnet

Hi all!

I recently installed novel linux desktop on my notebook.
I travell between different sites on our WAN and can access the internet and our DMZ from all sites except head office.
It seems like the router wont allow traffic from my linux os, when im on this subnet.
I have verified my gateway and dns settings, end even reinstalled.
No other machine (all windows) has this problem.

Any Ideas?

First of all, consult your system/network administrator of head office site.

I sort of am system admin, though my colleague does the router config.
Nothing on the router could differentiate between IP traffic from Linux/Windows; its all just IP to the router (unless im mistaken...)

It has to be a linux setting, but im stumped...

Checked netstat -r and the gateway is in there, if i configure it manually, but not if I use dhcp.
If I select dhcp i get an ip address, but no default gateway.

Looking in /var/log/messages i saw something strange: It said 'no ipv6 routers configured'
Could it be that i have ipv6 installed and this specefic router doesnt support it?
I have never worked with ipv6 before.

Is there anyway I can go back to previous ip, if that is the case?

I have done some more research- seems definitely to be an incimpatability between my router (ipv4) and my os (ipv6).

Im using Novell desktop linux. ipv6 is supposed to be backward compatable, but aparently isnt.

Any suggestions on how to disable IPv6?

r u using Wireless card.. ??
try remove ur PCMCIA card and boot..... some times if wireless fails to connect any network or didn't get ip using DHCP, it skips for Wired network.

No- my wireless is disabled. I am using a PCMCIA ethernet card.
It gets IP address from dhcp, but no gateway (says no IPv6 gateway configure.)
