hi
i updated my debian woody and got sarge.
on woody i accessed to the internet as with sarge which has kernel 2.2 but after compiling and installing kernel 2.6.3 i cannot access internet anymore.
but it detects my network interface and i can connect to sites which are available on the computes which are also on the same lan,ie i cant access internet but my lan.
when i start comp using old kernel it connects still.
i check the routing table on both of the systems , there is no differance.
what will i do to access internet?
can anyone help me?

You need module-init-tools-3.0 for 2.6.X kernels.
Especially if you have plenty of devices using modules.

module-init-tools-3.0 has already loaded, also when i built kernel i added my network interface's driver as built-in. when i run mozilla it resolves thesite but cannot connect, but the same system when run with kernel 2.2 connects without any problem...
