can you access ssl + ftp via web browser

hi there,

i've just finished setting up vsftpd with openssl and i'm trying to access it via IE/firefox but so far it hasn't turned out to well. i get this error message.

530 Non-anonymous sessions must use encryption

do i need to use a secure client to do it, am i just missing something simple like placing a 's' in the url somewhere or have i got a miss configuration in my vsftpd.conf file?

You could try ftps:// or tftp:// but I don't think ie supports this. Your best option is to use filezilla, which I think is in version 3 now. Very mature, and pretty nice to use.
