Angry Can ping the server but can't use the python

Our college has the mail which uses imap. I can ping the server. But when I try to make an archive of it using the archivemail utility, I get the error as:

Code:

    main()

    self.sock.connect((host, port))
  File "<string>", line 1, in connect
socket.error: [Errno 113] No route to host
Why this is so. Please help.
