Can I use a proxy with xbps on Void Linux?

Hello, since there is no Void subcategory on LQ, I posted here. Mods feel free to move if necessary.

I'm using Void Linux w/cinnamon currently and was wondering if there's anyway to get xbps to use a proxy, I've tried the environment variables such as http=the proxy, but so far no luck. I know the proxy works with Firefox if I set it IN Firefox.

So has anyone used a proxy with xbps?

Thanks

Happy New Year - I know I saw this in the forums somewhere: this is a thread about proxies and xbps:

Not sure this will resolve your issue but worth a look anyway.

Well I found out how to do this, I have to go to network settings>set proxy and set the proxy, Before opening the terminal(or restart the terminal if it's open) for changes to take place. Works flawlessly now. Once again I overlooked one tiny detail.....
