can a device that uses a LAN cable access the internet using my laptop?

Hi everyone,
Here is my problem:
I have a Yealink SIP-T20P VOIP phone that uses a LAN cable that needs to be connected to a router in order for it to access the internet and me be able to use it to make phone calls. The problem is that at my office I use my cellphone as the wireless router and that is how I access the internet on my laptop.

I have an HP netbook that does have a port to connect a LAN line can I somehow someway configure this to let me use it as a way for the Yealink phone to access the internet???

laptop: HP mini 110-1030NR
Ubuntu: 12.04 32bit

I'd proxy the internet connection in the laptop to the cell phone and then connect the viop phone to the laptop.

Seems rather odd to do it that way. Most data on phones cost you no matter voice of data.

Might also consider an app on the phone like skype or such.

I already pay for my VOIP service, I use and pay $20 a the cost of the service is not a problem the thing is that I dont have a way to directly connect the phone to an internet router and thats what I need to figure how do I go about doing what you mentioned?
