hi there

what i think is u do not have that gui installed

so install that rpm from ur distro cd
u can check whther the gui is installed or not by this

rpm -qa|grep samba

the O/p will be lke this
samba-client-3.0.3-5
samba-common-3.0.3-5
system-config-samba-1.2.9-2
samba-swat-3.0.3-5
samba-3.0.3-5

the version might be different

regards

With the command above i get:
samba-client-2.2.3a-6
samba-swat-2.2.3a-6
samba-2.2.3a-6
samba-common-2.2.3a-6

Go to the samba website and download ver 3 as it has better support than the old one your trying. I had the same problem, and smb3 fixed this, but I did go from rh9 to fedora 2
