can`t browse or update on suse 10.0
I am using ADSL connection with Thompson Speedtouch 350 modem. I can ping ip addresses (like 194.126.115.18), but i can not use internet for other purposes.
tried turning firewall off, but problem remains. What else can block my programs from connecting to internet???

can you ping www.google.com?
If not the ADSL modem could have not set up your nameservers correctly - and those are essential for the internet.

Thats it. I manually entered nameservers ip addresses and i`m online.
Now i have to configure my on board network card and i can put my TV card back in. NVidia seems to have drivers for it in Nforce driver pack.
