Can't see through firewall

To make a long story short I reinstalled RH8 over a perfectly working RH8 firewall/DHCP server I set up some time ago.
I have the DHCP part working, and I can ping the w2k machines attached to eth1 and the firewall is on the internet via DSL and working. I have IP Forwarding turned on and I've added "iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE" to rc.local.
To the best of my knowledge this is how I had it set up before, yet none of the w2k machines can access the internet. It could be something simple I've forgotten, but a quick search here and much reference to my manuals haven't turned up the issue. Any help much appreciated and may prevent premature balding.

That was it.
I had the gateway set, but the last number was off by one.
Can't see the forest through the trees kind of thing.
Thanks a lot!
Eric
