Can't see some of my files
 

Hi,
I'm a newbie to linux and I'm tryin to set up my laptop which is running Debian to my desktop so I can access my files. I've managed to mount the share, however I can only see some of my files, i.e. files are in some folders where they should be and in others are not there when they should be, so I'm very confused. My desktop is running Win XP Pro.
